Alaina became part of the PSED staff in April of 2014. Alaina grew up in New Jersey and received her BA in Visual Art, along with a teaching certification from Rampo College of New Jersey. In 2012 Alaina earned her MFA from the Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University here in Boston. Prior to joining us at PSED, Alaina worked with Steps to Success in Brookline, as the After School Coordinator. She had also worked as the Director and Lead Teacher of the Teen Advantage Program, also with Steps to Success. Alaina recently started her own calligraphy business called Extras by Alaina.

Welcome first year teacher Andy! Andy grew up in Tacome, WA and just recently moved to Boston. Andy received a Digital Media & Film degree from Bates Tech in Tacoma, WA and is currently studying History & Secondary Education at Lasell University in Auburndale. He has previously worked for four years with a Youth Group in Seattle with children in grades 5-12. In his free time Andy enjoys reading and watching movies with his wife, Annarose. Growing up in Washington, he of course loves the outdoors and enjoys hiking and camping. He is looking forward to his time at PSED!
