PSED Board of Directors

 Did you know that PSED has a Board of Directors, made up of parents, just like you?

Parents volunteer to sit on the board for a minimum of a year but often stay on for up to two ( or sometimes three) years. The PSED Board is responsible for the oversight of the program staff and policies. They makes decisions about a variety of things such as program offerings, personnel policies and budgetary issues to name a few. We normally meet every other month until the spring when we begin to meet monthly to prepare for a new school year.

 

For those interested in learning more about the PSED Board and how we operate, we plan to hold an informational meeting sometime this spring. Stay tuned for more information! PSED is now surveying first through fourth grade familes to detetermine how much interest there is in having thier children return for the spring. We are unsure how many additional children we may be able to accomodate due to space and staffing, but we are collecting data in order to plan for the remainder of the school year.
Please Note:
PSED has not yet begun 
re enrolling families for next year. We typically send out an email regarding incoming kindergarten siblings in early March but we have delayed this process to early April for planning purposes. 
We completely understand that many working families rely on  us for childcare! We sincerely hope to be able to have all of our currently enrolled families return next year but unfortunately, we have lost over 50% staff over the  past year. Currently, we are working with the Pierce School administration  and our Board of Directors to develop a plan to ensure we have adequate space and that we can staff each grade appropriately. Once this is determined we will begin our re enrollment process for next year.
